Your veterinarian has suggested your feline friend be fed a low carbohydrate diet in an effort to improve his or her health. This diet is ONLY effective if you discontinue feeding ALL dry foods COMPLETELY and feed ONLY the flavors listed below due to the high number of carbohydrates found in most cat foods. These foods are found at your local grocery & pet stores and are calculated on a dry matter basis. Please DO NOT limit their intake - feed them if they want more canned food. Most cats eat 1 to 1 & 1/2 cans of 5.5 ounce cans per day. It is always best to feed cats 3 - 4 times daily to ensure freshness, though twice daily is sufficient for most households.
