Digital Radiography...
Diagnostic x-rays or radiography has been used in veterinary medicine for nearly as long as it has been in human medicine. Images of bones, joints and internal organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and spleen can be surveyed for changes in size, shape, or density to determine certain diseases. Radiographic imaging is painless and rarely requires anesthesia.
Common specific uses in our practice include:
- Broken Bones, Dislocations and Fractures
- Cancer and other Benign Masses
- Obstructions or Foreign Bodies in the stomach and intestines
- Bladder and Kidney Stones
- Heartworm Disease
- Tooth Root Abscesses, Oral Tumors, Fractures
