Cat Clinic of Woodstock

Senior Wellness Program

Cats over the age of (7) are considered "Senior" and similar to humans they can develop "Old Age" problems, which are often not
detectable on physical exam. In order to detect these problems early and do early prevention or early treatment, we recommend the
following:

Bi-annual wellness exams – having your pet examined twice yearly by your veterinarian is needed because your pet ages an average of 7
years for our one.

Annual laboratory testing – this should include a CBC/Profile/T4, Urinalysis and Eye Pressure check in dogs who are more likely to have
glaucoma or Blood Pressure check in cats who are more likely to have high blood pressure. These tests are an important means by which your
veterinarian can diagnose blood disorders, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, infection, thyroid malfunction and various problems early. This should
be every 1-3 years in a 7-10 year old pet, and yearly in pets over 10. A urinalysis should be done yearly for all pets over seven.

Regular dental cleaning – tartar buildup and gingivitis have some obvious side effects like causing pain during eating but you may be surprised to
learn that they can also cause kidney and other organ disease.

Vaccinations and control of parasites – as your pet ages their immune system has less ability to fight disease, for this reason you should continue
to have annual vaccinations and parasite prevention for your pet.

A well balanced diet – one of the most important parts of healthcare for aging pets is recognizing the need for a higher quality diet as well as adding
vitamins and other supplements for joint and organ health, we recommend IVD Mature Formula.

The Senior Wellness Program benefits your pet through early detection of problems and by setting a baseline of healthy levels for reference in times of
illness. We hope to keep your pet healthy and happy for many years to come. Please refer to the following for details and pricing of the four available levels
of testing. If it has been more than six months since your pet's last physical exam we would recommend including one with their senior profile. A full "nose
to tail" exam is $45.00 in addition to the profile charge.

Level 1

Urinalysis – this is the most basic and valuable test. This will give us an idea how the kidneys are functioning which can give us clues as to what is going on
in the rest of the body. Low grade urinary tract infections are common in older pets and can be diagnosed in this way as well. We recommend doing this test
about once a year. This test can usually be done in about 20 minutes.

Total - $41.00

Level 2

Urinalysis and CBC/Profile – in addition to the urinalysis, the profile can tell us more about kidney function as well as other organ function and the CBC analyzes
protein levels, anemia and infection. These tests are run in house can we can give the results in about 2 hours.

Total - $140.10

Level 3

Urinalysis, thyroid test, CBC/Profile, heartworm test , Blood Pressure Check and Leukemia/FIV testing. This is more commonly performed and recommended profile.
In addition to the testing as described in Level 2, testing for the thyroid can tell us about other underlying problems, and screen for the early eyesight or blood pressure
problems that are common in geriatric animals. These results are usually available in 24-48 hours.

Total - $140.10

Level 4

Urinalysis, thyroid test, CBC/Profile, Blood Pressure Check, EKG and Chest X-rays, as well as Leukemia/FIV testing, this is the diagnostic panel that a 40 year human would
have done in a preventative health care program. This will give the doctor a full picture of the heart, lungs and major organs. These results are usually available in 24-48 hours.

Total - $235.00 - $255.00
